I’d start the day with breakfast at JW’s Kitchen and say “innut” to Chef Andy and hug Misty! Then I’d head to Firehouse Pottery to paint something fun for my nieces. Mid-morning, I’d stop by a Boys & Girls Club to hang out with some of the best kids I know!
Next up? A book browse at Pagination. I love the vibe so much. Lunch would be at Nawab’s buffet, because sometimes I have decision fatigue and a delicious buffet takes the pressure off. I’d swing by Culture Flock to grab a few quirky greeting cards; Springfield Mercantile to grab some unique stationary; and Ten Years Gone Vintage to get a disco ball or mug! I would head to the very underrated Valley Watermill Park for a lil walk until it got too hot and I got annoyed. I would go to Architect or Dancing Mule for a cup of coffee. I would catch up on some work so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed when I returned after my perfect Springfield day. I would put my headphones in and listen to some Afrohouse. Then, I would head over to Meta Games to buy a new board game and meet my friends at Hearts of Fire Tattoo and get some matching tatts.
I would go to the Springfield Art Museum to see how the renovation is going while I dream about my work being in it one day. I would go to Wonders of Wildlife and pet stingrays. Then I would grab some canvas and take out from Cesar’s Old Mexico and come home, pet my dog, and paint while I watch reality tv!
I would be exhausted but I would be so thankful that I live in a community with all this and more!
