Community Mural Project

Be a part of a fun and free community event that will create a special spot along the Fassnight Creek Greenway trail.

Minimum age: 8 years old. Ages 8 -16 must have a parent/guardian present. You may select more than one timeslot. We will send more details, including parking information, to all registered volunteers via email on September 28, 2023.

This pilot project is made possible through a partnership among The City of Springfield, Springfield-Greene County Parks, and Ozark Greenways. Grant funding is generously provided by the Hatch Foundation.

October 1 | Springfield Art Museum | Noon-4 p.m.
Celebrate Springfield Event

Join in on the FREE family-friendly art bash at the Springfield Art Museum on October 1 from Noon-4 p.m.! With live performances, arts activities for all ages, delicious eats from food trucks, tie-dying t-shirts, games, kite flying and more, get ready for the biggest arts celebration in Springfield!

Parking Information:

Where to Park:  There is limited on-site parking available at Phelps Grove Park & the Art Museum.  We encourage folks to walk or roll (bicycle, scooter, wheelchair) to the event which is located directly off the Fassnight Creek Greenway trail.

Please plan to park at the Missouri State University parking lot on the southwest corner of National and Grand. Free shuttles will be running between the parking lot and the Art Museum from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 

Better Block Springfield will also be providing parking for your bicycle! There are also bicycle racks at Phelps Grove Park and the entrance to the Art Museum.
